Followers Don't Build Your Business. Content Does.

Last month, 78% of the people who saw our clients' posts didn't even follow them.

Read that again. Nearly four out of five.

That's about 140,000 views across Facebook, Instagram and TikTok, from four very different businesses: a BBQ restaurant, a live music venue, a flooring store and a local dining directory. No ad money.

September vs. October

In September, before StackFlow, those four businesses pulled 39,555 Facebook views. In October, their first 28 days on StackFlow, they pulled 115,258. Views nearly tripled, and three out of four came from people who didn't follow them yet.

  • BBQ restaurant: 3,206 to 11,206 views (+250%)

  • Live music venue: 32,298 to 93,814 views (+190%)

  • Flooring store: 1,296 to 4,101 views (+216%)

  • Local dining directory: 2,755 to 6,137 views (+123%)

What changed

The follower count didn't. The content did. Real people, real photos, real video, every day.

Here's the clearest test I've got. Same caption, posted twice. As a photo: 577 views. As a video: 7,938 views.

Radio taught me this a long time ago. Your followers are your base. Your content builds your cume.

So stop chasing followers. Start giving the people who don't follow you yet a reason to stop scrolling.

See you at the tables.
